Galileo System Simulation Facility (GSSF)
The Galileo System
Simulation Facility (GSSF) is conceived as a simulations
environment that reproduces the functional and performance
behaviour of the Galileo system to support the simulation needs
during the entire Galileo programme lifecycle.
Simulation Capabilities
GSSF provides a single simulator that
uses alternative models depending upon the type of analysis the
end-user wishes to perform:
- Service Volume Simulation (SVS): Navigation
and integrity performance analyses over longer time periods and
over large geographical areas
- Raw Data Generation (RDG): Galileo and GPS raw
data production for experimental purposes (RINEX 3.00 observation
and IGS SP3)
GSSF enables simulation of the nominal
system and also its various degraded modes, in a deterministic or
probabilistic manner. The Space Segment and User Segment are not
limited to Galileo and provide GPS and EGNOS related models.
GSSF offers a rich set of
functionality to allow the user to:
- Set up and configure simulation
scenarios and simulation runs
- Run a simulation (as fast as possible and in real-time
mode)
- Analyse Data
- Visualise Data
- Import and export data
- Perform Model Development
GSSF provides a modern and flexible
Man Machine Interface, where key ele-ments such as the Property
Grid are used to simplify user customisation. The Property Grid
displays the properties of whichever element is selected in the
workspace. Properties of the selection can be viewed but also
edited from the Property Grid.
A reporting feature is available that
al-lows exporting simulation reports in RTF and PDF format. By this
means, the complete simulation/scenario definition including
parameter settings can be re-ported via an auto-generated
document.
