Software Engineer  [J 2007]

To develop software for control systems of satellite missions. This opportunity is also available to new graduates.

The task is to extend and develop components of a system for safe control and monitoring of a satellite mission.

 

 

Responsibilities / Duties

  • Understanding of the requirements and the design of the control system for the given mission
  • Develop the detailed design using UML
  • Implement the software and perform unit testing
  • Support integration and system testing
  • Write and maintain software documentation

 

Qualifications / Experience

  • A degree in computer science, physics, mathematics, or equivalent
  • Experience in general software development, software engineering

 

Essential Skills

  • Software design with UML
  • Software implementation with C++ and Java
  • Source Code Control System (e.g. CVS)
  • Software development for the LINUX Platform
  • Advanced user-level knowledge of the LINUX operating system
  • Good command of the English language

 

 

Desirable Skills

 

  • Common Object Request Broker Architecture (CORBA)
  • CppUnit and JUnit
  • Experience in space industry

 

 

Qualities

  • Team player
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
